A New Decade

Yes, It’s really been more than two years since I’ve posted here.
It seems that the effort to make a pretty post here (often with a video) isn’t happening. When I have the energy, I’d rather put it toward the project directly.

Good News!
The new Orly Blue Stretch is making great progress again, and I have a LRAWD Model 3 to put under it.

I’ve set up a new Twitter account where I hope to post many quick and easy updates. Please follow the project there and hopefully I’ll be more diligent at keeping you all in the loop.

  1. Yah, so good to hear that you are making progress. Makes so much sense to keep the updates short and less a distraction from the main task, i.e. via Twitter.

Been thinking about my own projects recently and the struggle towards completion, especially when they are big projects. During the recent solstice, I changed my focus from thinking about completion or the fear of not reaching the end, and rather now focus on each day’s work being another ‘beginning’, because of course I’m always good at beginning things. 😀

  2. Nice to see you back at it. I was at a campsite in Tofino this Sept and walked past a very rusty VW camper with a J1772 sticking out the rear. I thought he was just using it to run the fridge and lights. Nope it was a fully electric old VW with …. Tesla running gear! He had traveled all the way from Montreal with his family.

    • Thanks Randy!
I think you must have met VanaBolt. Actually it’s Chevy Bolt running gear, and really cool. His is the first DC fast charge capable long range Vanagon that I’ve heard of yet. His range of 150 miles at 50-55 mph, with a aerodynamically dirty vehicle is encouraging to me.
